Historic Preservation

Resurrecting the beauty, majesty and romance of the sailing ships of the past.

For more than four thousand years, sailing boats and ships were used for transport, trade and navigation. Sailing ships began disappearing in the early 1800s with the advent of the steam engine and the internal combustion engine.

In our modern times, sailing ships have been replaced with fossil fuel burning vessels. Only a small handful of sailing ships are still sailing the seas as occasional commercial vessels. The environmentally friendly sailing ships of the past have all but disappeared and those which remain have been largely neglected.

We believe this to be a great loss for the environment as well as an unfortunate loss of beauty, elegance, majesty and mystery. While commercial sailing ships have all but disappeared, sailboats for personal pleasure serve as a reminder that clean wind powered technology still works

It is our pleasure to help resurrect the beauty, majesty and romance of the sailing ships of old.

The growing movement to a green and sustainable economy provides an opportunity, not just to do things better, but to do them with elegance.

We invite you to become a part of this experience.
